Shadow Days (7th and 8th grade students)
To get a first-hand look at Carmel Catholic High School, we encourage 7th and 8th grade students to spend a day with us! During a Shadow Day, visiting students are paired with a freshman student who will serve as the visitor's personal guide for the day. We have found that visitors who participate in this unique Shadow Day experience are less apprehensive about their pending high school experience.
Shadow Days for the 2010-2011 school year will commence on Monday, August 30. Please click here to fill out a Shadow Day Request Form.
*** All student Shadow Day participants must complete and turn in the permission form made available below.
7th grade students are eligible to shadow during the spring semester.
8th grade students may shadow during the fall semester. 8th graders who take the CCHS entrance exam may also shadow during the spring semester.
Students must pre-register for a Shadow Day with the Director of Admissions at least five days before the intended visiting day. On the day of the visit, students must check in at the reception desk at Entrance I by no later than 7:45 a.m. and turn in the Shadow Day permission slip form. In turn, students will receive a guest pass for the day as well as be assigned to a current Carmel student, who will serve as his/her guide throughout the day. Shadow Days conclude at 2:00 p.m. at Entrance I.
Shadow Days are not permitted on half days, one week prior to and during exams, before holidays, or during “special schedules.” The number of Shadows per day is limited to 10. Guests are expected to abide by Carmel's rules and dress code.
