"Corsairs Cares" Was A Huge Success

On May 12, our amazing students, faculty, staff, and volunteers packed 182,304 meals to feed 497 kids for an entire year! Additionally, we raised nearly $200,000. Thank you to everyone that played a role in this special initiative!

Our students participated in a day of service that will begin with a 5k Walkathon as one community at St. Mary's of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary. After the walk, students transitioned into a Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event. This event was an incredible opportunity for our students to make a difference in the world and live out our school's mission by being "Corsairs who care."

In addition, Campus Ministry hosted the celebration of two Masses in the Auxiliary Gym. The Freshman and Sophomore classes had Mass together to start their morning, and later the Juniors and Seniors came for the celebration of the Eucharist. As we give thanks to Almighty God for the blessings we have received and for the great work of Feed My Starving Children, we look to Christ to inspire us as faithful stewards and missionary disciples!

The funds raised will pay for the cost of the food we packed, as well as purchase "Corsairs Care" minibusses. These vehicles will help expand the outreach of our Christian Service program in our local community. Our students are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, and with these buses, they will have greater access to various communities and make a more significant impact.
