Carmel Catholic is committed to educating the whole student with academic rigor, competitive athletics and programs grounded in our Catholic faith. A Carmel Catholic education requires considerable resources; unfortunately, tuition alone is not enough. We rely heavily on the support of our alumni, parents and friends to help ensure we can maintain the mission of the school and provide all of our students an exemplary education. Carmel Catholic has two primary areas of ongoing philanthropic need. Your gift, regardless of the amount, is greatly appreciated!

Carmel Catholic Fund

The Carmel Catholic Fund, our annual fund, supports the school’s most immediate needs and yearly operational expenses. The school relies on $475,000 annually in gifts to the Carmel Catholic Fund to support its operations and keep tuition reasonable for families. Our annual fund is essential to purchase new curriculum, hire staff, run extra curricular programs, upgrade technology and maintain facilities. A gift to the Carmel Catholic Fund provides the school the flexibility to spend your dollars to make the most impact, supporting the areas of greatest need.

Scholarship

Gifts to scholarships, whether one-time or endowed, ensure students have the ability to attend Carmel Catholic.

Students needing tuition assistance come from all parts of the three-county area attending Carmel Catholic High School. As the primary Catholic high school in Lake County, Carmel Catholic has a responsibility to provide an unrivaled education to as many students as possible, regardless of a family’s financial standing.

Each year, Carmel Catholic receives an increasing number of financial aid applications. Despite more than 25% of Carmel Catholic’s students annually receiving need-based financial aid, the unmet need continues to grow. Too many students decide against Carmel due to financial reasons. We must remain competitive and diverse, and expand our capacity to welcome students whose families would otherwise be unable to afford a Carmel education.

Carmel Catholic scholarships, which can cover all or part of a student's annual tuition costs, give benefactors an opportunity to significantly impact the lives of our Corsairs.

Donor Advised Funds

Give Donor Advised Funds

There are two ways you can donate Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). The first option is to donate donor advised funds online. We’ve partnered with Boost My School to provide the ability for our donors to give Crypto, Stocks, and Donor Advised Funds quickly and securely online. The second option is to donate DAF’s with the support of our Advancement office. Please call the Advancement office at 847-388-3372 to find out what information is required and further instructions.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

If you are 70½ or older you may be interested in a way to lower the income and taxes from your IRA withdrawals. An IRA charitable rollover is a way you can help continue our work and benefit this year. Benefits of an IRA charitable rollover:

$111,000 (inflation adjusted) per IRA account owner for outright gifts each year.
$55,000 (inflation adjusted) one-time life income gift opportunity per IRA account owner to create a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) or other income trust like a Charitable Remainder Trust.

May satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts

Double Your Donation With A Company Match

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match most charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, contact your employer for instructions on how to request the match. The impact of your gift to Carmel Catholic High School may be doubled or possibly tripled.
